What surfboard should I get?
Every surfboard should be unique to the individual riding it, which is why it is important to consult with a shaper and to be completely honest when answering questions about your surfing. To start that consultation submit the form in the “Custom Orders” tab and Ryan will contact you shortly.

What is the difference between your boards and one in the shop?
RK Surf Co. produces hand shaped boards which seem to be a rarity these days. Most boards you find in the shop are mass produced, machine made, overseas boards with quick finishes and characterless design. RK allows you to be fully involved in the process, you get to make a 100% unique board that represents you.

Do you sponsor?
As of right now we are not openly sponsoring surfers, but that will change. Stay tuned.

What kind of board should I get for the Wave Pool?
This is a good question, if you are frequenting the wave pool you will definitely want to get a board that works well with the waves there. The wave pool is amazing, but it is a different feel than the ocean. EPS/Epoxy boards tend to be the consensus by experts for wave pools. The wave level you ride, your experience level, your goals, and your style all would determine what shape would be best for you. This is all why it is important to submit a form under “Custom Orders” so Ryan can get in touch with you and get more information.

What kind of artwork can you put on the board?
Literally anything.

How long does it take to recieve a board after ordering?
Time of completion varies by board shape, board size, materials in stock, artwork requested, and other variables. Ryan will give you an ETA before collecting the deposit from you, but its important to remember that this is an estimate and there is no guarantee the timeline wont be moved up or back at all. Ryan will keep you updated throughout the shaping process with pictures and updates. He is just as stoked as you are for this board.
There are often times many board orders are being worked on at one time, which causes a wait list to build up. To secure your spot on the wait list a deposit must be recieved. To find out if there is currently a wait list, or where you are on the waitlist, contact Ryan directly.
